In the movie
Theatrical
- ~00:05:19 Hot tea rides alongside the meals on the Mugen Train, the ordinary steadying drink of a long journey — the calm around which Rengoku's boisterous eating and the demon slayers' rest are arranged.
The train is a liminal place — rest before the reckoning — and tea is its ambient drink, the thing you sip while a Hashira demolishes a bento and the young slayers steal a little peace. It's the calm the whole film is quietly built around.
Ingredients
Method
- Heat the water to just below boiling, then let it cool for a minute — green tea turns bitter if brewed too hot.
- Pour over the leaves and steep only 1 to 2 minutes.
- Strain into cups and drink hot, between bites and between battles.
