Privacy
What we collect.
Very little, and none of it identifies you. There are no accounts to create, nothing to log into, and no advertising network watching you read. This page says plainly what happens when you visit — including the parts that involve other companies.
Cookies
FlixNFood sets no cookies of its own. You will not see a consent banner here, because there is nothing to consent to — that was a deliberate choice, and it's why we measure traffic the way we do below.
Clicking an affiliate link is the exception, and it isn't our cookie: the retailer sets one on their own site so they can attribute the visit back to us. That cookie is governed by that retailer's privacy policy, not this one. See the affiliate disclosure for who those retailers are.
Traffic measurement
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It is cookieless and does not fingerprint or track you between sites: it reports aggregate numbers — which pages were read, roughly where readers came from — and gives us no way to identify an individual reader or follow one around. We use it because it answers "is anyone reading this?" without the surveillance that answering that question usually involves.
Other companies that see your visit
Being honest about this matters more than looking clean:
- Google Fonts. The site's typefaces load from Google's servers, so Google receives your IP address and browser details in order to serve them.
- Cloudflare. Receives the analytics beacon described above.
- Fly.io. Hosts the site, so it handles every request in order to serve you the page. Requests appear in short-lived operational logs used for debugging and uptime, and are not built into profiles of readers.
- Retailers you reach by clicking an affiliate link, once you have clicked it. Not before.
If you send us a suggestion
The suggestion form is the only place the site accepts anything from you. A name and email address are optional — leave them blank and the suggestion still works; fill them in only if you want a reply. What you send goes to a private review inbox, is never published automatically, and is never sold, shared, or used to market anything to you. There are no file uploads, and we do not store your raw IP address. We do briefly use it in memory to rate-limit the form against spam.
What we don't do
No advertising network. No tracking pixels. No email list, so nothing to unsubscribe from. No selling or sharing of anything a reader sends us. No accounts, so no password of yours to lose.
Questions or removals
If you sent a suggestion and want it deleted, or you want to know what's held, use the suggestion form and say so — include the reference code if you kept it. FlixNFood is published by 1031 Productions.
