Later, at Harry's hospital-wing bedside, Ron has already saved him the trouble of opening a fresh pile of them.

The Chocolate Frog is one of the series' best sight gags: an enchanted chocolate that gives a single hop before you eat it, wrapped around the real prize — a collectible card of a famous witch or wizard. It's the first properly magical candy Harry ever holds, and the film returns to it at his hospital bedside, where a stack of frogs and their scattered wrappers say what Ron can't quite manage in words: that his friends came to check on him.

Ingredients

1 lb good milk or dark chocolate, tempered
Frog-shaped chocolate molds
Foil wrappers, for the traditional presentation
Small printed cards (your own 'Famous Witches and Wizards'), to tuck inside each wrapper

Method

Temper the chocolate and pour it into the frog molds, tapping out any air bubbles. No tempering setup? Melt two-thirds of the chocolate gently, then stir in the remaining third off the heat until smooth — this "seeding" shortcut still gives a respectable snap and shine.
Chill until fully set, then unmold carefully — the legs are the first thing to snap if you rush this step.
Wrap each frog in foil, tucking a small card in with it before folding the wrapper shut.
Store somewhere cool; they're sturdier once fully set, which matters if anyone's hoping for a "jump" out of the box.
Unwrap and eat immediately — the frogs, unlike the real thing, will not attempt an escape.
