"Bread and cheese again" is a lovely little world-building detail: the castle mostly eats simply because cooking requires a cooperative fire demon. It makes the bacon-and-eggs feast that follows feel like an event — and it captures the film's cozy domesticity, where even a magical moving castle mostly runs on plain bread and a wedge of cheese.
