The film never tells us what's actually in Jupiter and Oracle's jug — "turpentine brandy" is a joke name, not a recipe — so this is an honest, drinkable stand-in: apple brandy for the base spirit, a whisper of peaty Scotch for the harsh edge the name implies, and just enough honey to make it something you'd actually want a second pour of.

Ingredients

2 oz apple brandy (Calvados or applejack)
1/4 oz smoky single-malt Scotch, for the "turpentine" edge
1/4 oz honey syrup (1:1 honey and hot water, cooled)
2 dashes aromatic bitters
Lemon twist, to finish

Method

Combine the apple brandy, Scotch, honey syrup, and bitters in a mixing glass with ice.
Stir until well-chilled, about 30 seconds.
Strain into a rocks glass over a single large ice cube.
Twist a piece of lemon peel over the top to release its oils, then drop it in.
Serve rough-and-ready — this is a still-made pour, not a cocktail-bar one.
