Strawberries with Cream and Rose Petals
Serve when
Strawberries and cream turn up between shoe fittings — one more sweet thing within reach during the 'I Want Candy' spree
In the movie
Theatrical
- The 'I Want Candy' montage — strawberries, cream, and rose petals scattered among the shoes, jewels, and macarons of the queen's shopping-and-sweets spree
This is one of several sweet things glimpsed rather than eaten during the "I Want Candy" sequence — strawberries and cream folded into the same frame as shoes, jewels, and macarons, with rose petals scattered as pure texture. It's less a dish than a mood: everything sweet, soft, and pastel, all available at once.
Ingredients
Method
- Halve the strawberries if large, leave whole if small.
- Whip the cream with the powdered sugar to soft peaks — soft enough to spoon, not stiff enough to pipe.
- Arrange the strawberries on a platter, spoon the cream alongside or over the top, and scatter rose petals across the dish.
- Serve at room temperature; this is meant to look abundant, not composed.
