Ingredients

2 pints fresh strawberries, hulled
1 cup heavy cream, whipped soft
2 tablespoons powdered sugar
Food-grade rose petals, for garnish

Method

Halve the strawberries if large, leave whole if small.
Whip the cream with the powdered sugar to soft peaks — soft enough to spoon, not stiff enough to pipe.
Arrange the strawberries on a platter, spoon the cream alongside or over the top, and scatter rose petals across the dish.
Serve at room temperature; this is meant to look abundant, not composed.
