- 01:38:15 Minny's chocolate pie — the centerpiece of the 'Terrible Awful' she serves Hilly Holbrook, and of the film's most infamous two slices. The pie itself, as baked for everyone else in Jackson, is gorgeous.
Minny's pie is the film's atom bomb: the revenge dessert that gives Hilly her "Terrible Awful" and the maids their leverage. The joke lands because the pie looks — and, for every other customer in Jackson, is — genuinely magnificent. This is that version. Two slices remains a serving suggestion, not a threat.

Method
- Whisk the sugar, cocoa, cornstarch, and salt in a saucepan.
- Beat in the yolks and evaporated milk until smooth.
- Cook over medium, whisking constantly, until thick and glossy, 8–10 minutes.
- Off heat, stir in the butter and vanilla; pour into the baked crust.
- Chill 4 hours until set. Serve cold with whipped cream — to people you like.
