Method
- Whisk the sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt in a saucepan.
- Beat in the egg yolks and milk until smooth.
- Cook over medium heat, whisking constantly, until thick and glossy, 8–10 minutes.
- Off heat, stir in the butter and vanilla; pour into the crust.
- Chill until fully set, at least 4 hours. Serve with whipped cream.
