- At the White House reception, Forrest discovers the free Dr Pepper and downs roughly fifteen of them — then tells President Kennedy the only thing on his mind: 'I gotta pee.'
Free soda is Forrest's idea of what makes meeting a President great, and the payoff line to JFK is one of the film's best laughs. The drink itself is on screen bottle after bottle — the rare beverage with its own punchline.
